Taylor Rae is a singer songwriter from the mountains of Santa Cruz, California. With an extensive background in musical theatre, a natural gift of melody and growing up singing in the church, it was almost inevitable for her songwriting to take off at an early age. She began writing original songs at age 10, and by age 16 already won several competitions and released an album. As she matured as a songwriter, her genre took on a more complex sound. After releasing her second album at age 18, she decided to step up her career with a move to Los Angeles, California. While in Los Angeles Taylor attended Musicians Institute to grasp the technical aspects of the talents she already possessed and released her third album, "Gettin' High to Stay Low" with a full band behind her. Her songs continue to evolve in a melting pot of r&b, jazz, funk/rock and blues that she likes to call "Soul & Roll."
